How our pricing works

We start by understanding your business: what you do, how much activity there is and which tasks you’d like us to handle.

Your fee reflects the work involved and the level of support you choose. Our online quote builder gives you an initial estimate based on the information you provide. We’ll then talk through your requirements and confirm the services and fee before you decide to go ahead.

What affects your monthly fee?

Your business structure and complexity

A sole trader, partnership and limited company have different accounting and reporting requirements. We also consider any additional complexity, such as multiple businesses or income streams.

The volume of activity

The number of bank transactions, sales invoices and purchase invoices helps us understand how much work is involved in maintaining your records.

The services you need

Your package can bring together the services relevant to your business, from annual accounts and tax returns to bookkeeping, VAT, payroll and management reporting.

Your team

If you need payroll or CIS support, the number of employees or subcontractors will affect the work required. Employee benefits reporting may also need to be included.

The level of ongoing support

Some businesses need support with their essential filings. Others want regular financial reports and more frequent conversations to understand performance and plan ahead. We’ll help you choose the right level of support.

What does your fee include?

Before you join, we’ll set out the services included in your package, what we’ll take care of and what we need from you.

Depending on your requirements, your package may include:

• Bookkeeping and bank reconciliation.

• Management accounts and reporting.

You’ll also have a team you can ask for guidance about the services we provide. We’ll explain any software included in your package and agree the scope and fee for additional work before it starts.

Your online quote is an initial estimate based on your answers. We’ll review the details with you and confirm the final fee before you go ahead.

What if I don’t know which services I need?

That’s completely fine. Tell us what you currently handle yourself, where you need help and what you want to achieve. We’ll help you put together a suitable package.

Can I change my package as my business grows?

Yes. As your business changes, we can review your services and adjust the support you receive. We’ll discuss any changes to your fee with you before they take effect.

Can I ask questions during the year?

Yes. You don’t need to wait until your accounts are due to get in touch. Questions about the services included in your package are welcome. If you need a separate piece of advice or additional work, we’ll explain any fee before proceeding.

Will I need to do my own bookkeeping?

You can choose to include bookkeeping in your package so we handle the agreed processing and reconciliation for you. If you keep your own records, we’ll explain what we need to prepare your accounts and returns.
